We had the great pleasure of pampering our centre mothers last Wednesday evening at Bethlehem College Kindergarten.
Mothers work so hard looking after everyone else, so we decided to treat them to a relaxing evening that was all about them for a change!
The children got right into the spirit of things and helped us to make special decorations for the evening.
Our teaching team really enjoyed hosting the 18 women and had worked hard to arrange a lovely line-up of things for them to enjoy.
An expert gardener from Décor, a local garden shop, taught us how to make hanging baskets and how best to look after plants. The children made some hanging baskets at kindy the next day too!
Each mother had the opportunity to create a sparkling, beautiful piece of jewellery for themselves or for someone they love.
The creative juices really came out when we showed them how to design their own mosaic. Some of the mothers made items with their child in mind – a necklace for their daughter or a mosaic tile with their child’s initial on it.
One of the mothers kindly blessed us with her time and expertise in offering mother’s a massage – very relaxing and very thoughtful. The ladies who had massages felt like a million bucks afterwards!
It was so lovely to have unrushed time with the Mum’s in our centre community and to see them relaxed and enjoying themselves and getting to know each other better.
We would love to share some photos of your finished creations! Post them to our Facebook page or email them to us at hello@bckindy.school.nz.
