CELEBRATING COUTURE ♡
Today was a very special day for Couture. Today was his graduation from St Andrews Preschool!
Couture and his family have been part of our centre community since Couture was three years old. Now it is time for him to go to primary school.
At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.
We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.
The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey. We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool. They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.
Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.
Couture, we have loved getting to know you.
Some things that we love about you are your lovely smile. Your face lights up the room Couture. We love that you like to tell us your ideas and you often have solutions when you see problems that need to be solved. We love your creative and active mind as well and how you like to use your imagination.
We’ve noticed that you enjoy family play and you often like to pretend that you are the family dog or cat. You enjoy being in the sandpit and you often have ideas about what to make or build with sand. You also enjoy water play in the sandpit as well and you like to construct volcanoes and water ways.
Couture, you are very interested in building and constructing. Whether it is with the Lego, Mobilo, or at the carpentry area, you like to use your creativity and problem solving skills in your work. You are also interested in vehicles and you enjoy making vehicles as well as driving the toy truck at preschool. You also LOVE puzzles.
The character virtues we have seen you develop are confidence in sharing and communicating your ideas, patience in understanding how others feel, perseverance in completing tricky tasks, flexibility when plans need to change, and purposefulness in your work.
Couture this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: Couture, we pray that your time at school will be full of opportunities for you to continue to develop your problem solving skills. We pray that your creativity will inspire others to be creative as well and we pray that you will make friends that will encourage you to share your talents. Jesus is with you Couture.
May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.
Couture, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!
We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
