CELEBRATING HAMISH ♡
Today was a very special day for Hamish at Bethlehem College Kindergarten. Today was his graduation!
Hamish and his family have been a wonderful part of our centre community. Now it is time for him to go to primary school.
At Bethlehem College Kindergarten we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation ceremony.
The child’s journey at kindy, their interests and virtues are shared at this time. The other children are able to contribute to the celebration and a bible is presented to the child.
Hamish, it’s our pleasure to send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
Hamish, we have loved getting to know you!
Hamish, some things that we love about you are: The way you include others in your play and encourage them with ideas of what they could do to help. Your happy nature and the way you offer to help and support others. Your many great ideas that encourage others to extend their play when they are with you. The way you support your sister as she becomes familiar with her Kindy day.
We’ve noticed that you enjoy Riding bikes. Role playing and dramatic play using your knowledge of the world around you and the people you have seen or met in your community. For example, becoming a road worker, setting up a bowling alley, becoming a fireman or policeman, fixing a submarine or fixing the bikes.
Hamish, you are very interested in exploring our kindy environment especially if bugs can be found or studied. Learning about our incredible world and sharing your knowledge about what you know. Taking things apart to see how they work and what they are made of, such as a mobility scooter and being the project manager. You are very interested in solving problems, making comparisons, noticing patterns and thinking logically.
The character virtues we have seen you develop are helpfulness, service, caring, gentleness, patience, encouragement, creativity, perseverance, respect and determination.
Hamish, our prayer for you is that as you transition to primary school is that as you transition to primary school is: Hamish I pray you settle quickly into your classroom and continue learning about our fascinating world that God has blessed us with. I pray you make lasting and special friendships at school and accomplish many great things as you develop your unique and God-given potential. May you grow in God’s wisdom and love.
