CELEBRATING LIV ♡
Today was a very special day for Liv. Today was her graduation from St Andrews Preschool!
Liv and her family have been part of our centre community since Liv was four years old. Now it is time for her to go to primary school.
At St Andrews Preschool we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation celebration.
We celebrate the child’s birthday and graduation together at mat time. Parents, grandparents and friends are most warmly welcomed to join us.
The teachers share some of the special things about the child and goes through the child’s portfolio, following their preschool journey. We all look at the self-portrait on their very first day and notice how they have changed over their time at preschool. They also compare their handprint now against the size of the one in their portfolio on their first day or preschool.
Finally, the child is presented with their very own children’s bible which has a special messages written on the inside cover from each of the teachers.
Liv, we have loved getting to know you.
Some things that we love about you are your kind and helpful nature. You are often the first to put your hand up to help out whether it is with children or teachers, you love to be involved. We love that you are responsible in the way you communicate and with the way you treat others. You have a very mature understanding of what’s going on around you.
We’ve noticed that you enjoy creating and constructing, both at the art table and the carpentry area. You are often found using your imagination and creativity in your work. You also enjoy including others in your work especially your sister but you also enjoy the company and input of others as well.
Liv, you are very interested in sharing your talents, skills and knowledge both with children and teachers alike and you like to be involved in everything whether it’s playing games or helping with tidy up time. Liv your interests include: artwork, drawing, writing especially writing your name and writing in cards. You are also very active and you love playing outside.
The character virtues we have seen you develop are friendliness when it comes to including others and helping out new children at preschool, diligence in the way you complete tasks that you set for yourself, helpfulness, purposefulness in your project work, and creativity.
Liv, this is our prayer for you as you transition to school: We pray that your school journey will be even more exciting and adventurous as you continue to learn and grow. We pray that your character will continue to develop as you practice your skills and talents and we pray that you will make lasting friendships that will bring you joy. We will miss you Liv! Jesus is with you.
May you continue to know the joy of exploring and being inquisitive. Never forget that you are special and precious.
Liv, it was our pleasure to celebrate YOU today!
We are sad to say goodbye to you, but we proudly send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
