CELEBRATING MILLIE ♡
Friday was a very special day for Millie at Olive Tree Education and Care. Today was her graduation!
Millie and her whanau have been part of our centre community since she was 8 Months old. Now it is time for her to go to primary school.
At Olive Tree Education and Care we celebrate this milestone with a special graduation ceremony.
The child’s journey at Olive Tree, their interests and virtues are shared at this time. The other children are able to contribute to the celebration and a bible is presented to the child.
Millie, we have loved getting to know you.
Some things that we love about you are: that you show empathy to animals and a caring attitude towards your friends, taking on a tuakana teina roll.
We’ve noticed that you enjoy Art activities and the family play area. You love to re-create art works to invent new ways and finding solutions to problems.
You are very interested in role modelling your teachers, you are a natural leader and are good at drawing younger children into your play
The character virtues we have seen you develop are: Kind, Compassion, Helpfulness, Confidence, Caring, Respect, Truthfulness and Friendliness.
Our verses for you from the Bible as you transition to school are:
Don’t worry
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Know you are very valuable
Psalm 139:13- “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
Millie, it’s our pleasure to send you off to your new adventure at school with our love, support and blessing ♡
