AMAZING PLACE PRESCHOOL
Welcome Letter from Head Teacher Leanne Gulliver
Welcome!
At Amazing Place Preschool we believe that relationship is the heart of learning. It’s so important to us to build warm and caring relationships with the children and whānau who join our centre.
“We know that when children feel loved, learning naturally follows”
What I personally love about Amazing Place Preschool is that we are blessed with a fantastic teaching team who work alongside children and their whanau with genuine care.
Our bright and positive centre is a ‘home away from home’ where children are shown the love of God in so many ways. Amazing Place Preschool is uniquely special and a truly wonderful place to come to each day!
We appreciate that there’s a lot to think about when it comes to choosing the best centre for your child. There are practical considerations, but there are also deeper questions to consider, such as: ‘What is our teaching philosophy and learning programme? What difference does being a Christian centre make to the way we do things? Are our teachers qualified and caring’?
You’ll find answers to these questions, and more, on the following pages. If you like what you see, we would love you to bring your child with you to visit our centre.
It would be our privilege to journey with you and your child through these formative, exciting and precious early years of life. I look forward to meeting you soon.
Leanne
Teachers' use of te reo Māori is naturally integrated in conversations and in giving directions. Children are developing an appreciation of te reo me ngā tikanga Māori.
Amazing Place Preschool
Relationships among teachers, children and their parents/whānau are characterised by warmth, respect and reciprocity. Teachers place high value on whānau participation and appreciate what they can contribute to centre life.
Amazing Place Preschool
Teachers are skilled at building on children's ideas and extending their vocabulary through sustained and meaningful conversations. Open-ended questioning promotes higher order thinking and risk taking.
Amazing Place Preschool
I like Amazing Place Preschool because I can talk to all the staff about what Logan is learning and what his interests are at Amazing Place. I appreciate the teachers for teaching my son and the great interactions Logan has with each of them. Logan is starting to go to the toilet now so I thank the Centre for helping me with toilet training. I would recommend to others because Amazing Place is a friendly, kind and an understanding environment and their children would love going there. My son enjoys going every day.

"Since attending Amazing Place my child has reached milestones quickly, built confidence and is more sociable. Amazing Place is special for children and families as it is like a whanau. All the staff are caring and supportive."
