OUR CREATIVE TEACHING TEAM ENCOURAGES THE PERFORMING ARTS.
We believe that children are inherently creative and this capacity is nurtured through the emergent early childhood curriculum we follow.
Whether we are doing hula dancing, having a bubble party, singing a song, acting out a story, or putting on a production, our teachers support children as they grow in confidence and in deepening levels of participation.
We love to see children take an existing song or story and use their imagination to come up with new interpretations. We encourage this divergent thinking and the children learn to enjoy their own creativity. The look of pride on their faces as they take a bow or drop a curtsey at the end says it all!

Our programme may include reading Bible stories, singing Christian songs and saying grace, karakia, before meals. Christian themes are sometimes explored in our teaching and learning, and relevant Bible verses may be included in learning stories. However, our Christian ethos is mostly reflected in the loving and respectful relationships we have with one another and in the integrity and character of our teachers.
